Made-to-Measure Shirts by Tailor Store
What is worse than a shirt that does not fit at all? Personally, I have great difficulty buying a shirt off the rack. I am quite tall and willowy. When I try on a shirt at a clothing store, there are two variants.
Variant 1: the shirt fits perfectly at the waist. However, the collar is so narrow that it cuts off my airways and the sleeves are as short as if I had washed the shirt at 90 degrees.
Variente 2: the sleeves have a good length and I can wear a tie without respiratory distress. But the shirt at the waist is so big that I could easily hide a six-pack of Malbec underneath.
The solution to my problems are Tailor Store’s Made-to-Measure shirts. An online service for tailor made shirts. I have been ordering my shirts at Tailor Store for more than 8 years and would like to get you familiar with the process and the service.

The Design Process
Right at the beginning there is my favorite step – the design process. Have you ever wanted to design your own unique piece of clothing? Then now the opportunity has finally come! In the designer you have a variety of options as well as different fabrics and buttons available. By creating contrasts with mismatching fabrics and threads, your imagination knows no bounds.
In case you do not want to start from scratch, there is also the possibility to load pre-designed shirts into the designer and customize them.

The First Shirt
Tailor Store offers you a variety of hand picked fabrics. However, the materials differ in quality and price.
For the first shirt, I recommend selecting one of the more cheaper fabrics. Mostly these are in white or bright blue. My experience shows that the measurements, which are taken in a later step, are usually rarely 100% perfect with the first shirt. The first shirt fits well, but not perfectly.
A bigger investment is worthwhile from the second order on. With a few adjustments in the centimeter range, the shirts from the second order on fit perfectly and the quality of the slightly more expensive fabrics is excellent.
The Measurement
At the end of the design process you are asked about your measurements. Recently, Tailor Store offers to determine your measurements with an app. Unfortunately, I have no experience in the field as I have found my perfect measurements several years ago.
For my first order, I used my favorite shirt as a solid foundation, took the measurements and added or removed a few inches where needed.

The Outcome
This time I have chosen three shirts. Each unique in its own way

The Flamingo Shirt
When I saw this fabric for the first time I was so excited that I immediately had to give up this order. The pattern is subtle and casual at the same time. The perfect fabric for a stylish summer.

The Business Shirt
Shirt number two comes in fine blue and white herringbone pattern. In addition, white collar and cuffs. With this shirt you are simply the eye-catcher in the meeting room.

The Casual Shirt
The third and final shirt is more casual regarding shape and fabric. Therefore, it can be worn well with a chino.
