Fresh Alpine Air at The Alpina Mountain Resort
As a city dweller I love to travel to the Swiss mountains on weekends. Just in time for the opening of the winter season, this trip took me to the small mountain village Tschiertschen in the beautiful Graubünden. This is where The Alpina Mountain Resort & Spa is located. A renovated building from the year 1897. During the renovation, special emphasis was placed on preserving the style of the Golden Twenties, which gives the Boutique Hotel its special charm.

The value placed on hospitality is felt immediately upon entering through the warm welcome of the host. Also during our entire stay we were always served politely and courteously.
Dinner Time at The Restaurant La Belle Époque
The hotel has two own restaurants. The Panorama Restaurant with a wonderful terrace, which invites you to sit outside when the weather is nice, and the Restaurant La Belle Époque. From the menu, the chef’s choice of courses can be combined to create your own 3-course menu according to your preferences. Whereby beside the individual courses, also the price is excellent.

The Rooms
The lovingly furnished rooms extend over three floors. On the top floor the suites are located, from which we were privileged to move in. In contrast to the standard rooms, we had our own small living area. The suite was the perfect place to enjoy a little togetherness.

The highlight of the suite, however, was the breathtaking view over the Graubünden mountains. As we were lucky with the weather, the view improved again.

The Wellnessarea
As it must be for a Romantik Hotel like The Alpina, the wellness area should not be neglected either. In addition to several saunas and a steam bath, the hotel also has an outdoor whirlpool. Despite the icy ambient temperature, I could stay for hours in this whirlpool.

Massage
As a crowning finale we were allowed to enjoy a relaxing massage. Almost too relaxed we started our journey home. We can look back on an extremely pleasant weekend with culinary accompaniment.
