My Stay at The Hotel TORTUE in Hamburg

Our route back home from Norway passed directly through Hamburg. So a stopover in Germany’s second-largest city was obvious. In the search for a suitable hotel, we quickly found the Hotel TORTUE, which later turned out to be the perfect choice. In today’s blog post I would like to tell you more about the amenities of the Hotel TORTUE.

The Hotel

The hotel itself is located in a beautiful 19th century Hanseatic building. Despite the age of the building, the interior does not lack of modernity, luxury and design. The Hotel TORTUE convinced me not only with external values, but also with inner ones. Already at check-in I felt the hospitality and courtesy of the staff. In addition, the lovingly decorated lobby area and I felt myself at home in less than 5 minutes.

The Rooms

After a smooth check-in, we went up to the room. The rooms and corridors are furnished in the same style as before the lobby and the entrance area. It just goes all together well and it feels like an interior architectural masterpiece.

It’s the small details which make the difference like the personal greeting card, which we found in our room. The hotel once more impressed with their hospitality. We were very happy about this gesture and immediately felt more welcome.

The bathroom was extreamly generouse too, which led to no conflicts between putting on make-up and shaving in early morning hours. Therefore, the faster we were at the breakfast buffet.

The Breakfast

I do not know where to start. The breakfast buffet in the restaurant Brasserie which is part of the house leaves nothing to be desired. Sweet or salty, there is something for everyone. The delicacies of the buffet can also be complemented by menu dishes such as omelets or pancakes. I have not felt so full for a long time after a breakfast like here.

By the way, the restaurant is also accessible to guests who are not staying at the hotel and offers next to breakfast lunch and dinner too.

After such a breakfast, a long day in Hamburg can begin. The Hotel TORTUE is perfectly located for exploring the city.

The Location

For a shopping trip through Hamburg, the Hotel TORTUE could not have a better location. Just around the corner are some of Hamburg’s best shopping streets such as “Neuer Wall”, which houses stores of numerous high-end brands.

The hotel’s location is not only perfect for shopping but also as a starting point for sightseeing. Attractions such as the town hall or the Elbphilharmonie can be easily reached by foot.
