This year, we were lucky to join an extraordinary trip that took us not only through the romantic streets of Montmartre but also straight into the heart of the magical Disneyland Paris. From culinary delights to spectacular shows, this trip was an unforgettable adventure filled with love and discovery.
Traveling with TGV Lyria
The journey started with a highlight: the TGV Lyria. This high-speed train took us from Zurich straight to the heart of Paris in just a few hours. With comfortable seats, panoramic windows, and onboard service, the ride wasn’t only fast but also incredibly pleasant — the perfect way to arrive relaxed and full of anticipation for the adventure. Reaching speeds of up to 320 km/h, we glided effortlessly through the French countryside –an impressive blend of speed and comfort.
A Literary Gem in the Heart of Montmartre
The Hôtel Littéraire Marcel Aymé is more than just a place to stay – it’s a tribute to the renowned French writer. Dinner at La Couvée Montmartre was a true feast for the senses. The blend of traditional French cuisine and modern finesse delighted our taste buds. Each dish was prepared with love, reflecting the authenticity of the district – from starter to dessert, an unforgettable culinary experience.
Galeries Lafayette – A Shopping Temple of Elegance and History
The Galeries Lafayette are more than just a department store – they’re an experience. The stunning dome, Art Deco design, and luxurious brands create an atmosphere that turns shopping into an event. Whether fashion, beauty, or gourmet treats – everyone finds their personal highlight here. It’s a place that embodies Parisian chic and elegance in its purest form.
One of the highlights was our exclusive cooking class, where we had the chance to prepare a classic Cordon Bleu under the guidance of a professional chef. It wasn’t only educational but also incredibly fun – and the best part: we got to enjoy our own creations on the spot!
To top it all off, we visited the rooftop terrace of the Galeries Lafayette, where we were treated to a breathtaking view over the rooftops of Paris and the majestic Opéra Garnier – a moment of pure magic.
Maritimes Flair und Disney-Magie im Newport Bay Club
Our stay at the Disney Newport Bay Club felt like a journey to the New England coast – with a sprinkle of Disney magic. The hotel impresses with its elegant, nautical design reminiscent of a luxurious seaside resort. Spacious rooms, friendly service, and the chance to meet Disney characters right at breakfast made the stay unforgettable. A special extra: thanks to our stay at the hotel, we were granted early access to the Disney Parks – one hour before the official opening. It was a magical moment, enjoying the attractions almost all to ourselves.

A day full of magic at Disneyland Paris! With the Disney Premier Access Pass, we experienced the most popular attractions without long waiting times – a true luxury that gave us more time for the magical moments. From thrilling rides like The Hollywood Tower Hotel to the enchanting Peter Pan’s Flight, we hopped from one attraction to the next with ease.
The breathtaking “The Lion King” show captivated us with powerful rhythms and spectacular performances.
Afterward, we admired the “Disney Stars on Parade“, where our favorite characters passed by on magnificent floats, bringing Disney’s magic to life. Dinner at the lovingly themed “Chez Rémy” was the perfect ending to a magical day – with a menu inspired by Ratatouille, making us feel like we had stepped right into the beloved movie’s charming world.

This journey was more than just a weekend trip – it was an experience filled with magical moments, culinary highlights, and unforgettable encounters. Paris once again enchanted us, and Disneyland Paris brought out the childlike joy within us. We return not only with beautiful memories but also with the feeling of having experienced something truly special.
