Discover the Natural Beauty of the Fichtel Mountains
As a travel blogger, I am always on the lookout for hidden treasures to discover. This time, I’m off to the picturesque Fichtelgebirge, a region in the north of Bavaria that beckons with its fascinating landscape and diverse activities. Join me on my journey as I explore the idyllic places and experience unforgettable adventures.

My first destination is the enchanting rock labyrinth Luisenburg, the ideal starting point for an unforgettable hike. Here my journey begins through a breathtaking landscape that takes me past the majestic Burgstein rock and through dense forests. The hike finally ends at the Kösseinehaus in Kösseine, a charming mountain restaurant that delights with its natural scenery.

After this energetic start, I leave nature and enter the fascinating world of porcelain. The Porzellanikon in Hohenberg is an absolute must for art and culture lovers. In this renowned porcelain museum, I dive deep into the history of this fine craft. From the artful exhibits to the exciting workshops, Porzellanikon offers a unique experience that I don’t want to miss.

After the visit to the museum, I find myself in the charming Café Schwarzer Peter, which is located in a converted old railway station in Selb. Here I settle into a nostalgic ambience and enjoy a cup of fragrant coffee from the café’s own roastery. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, and the friendly staff prepare me delicious treats. It’s the perfect place to take a break and review the impressions of my trip.

Strengthened and refreshed, I set off in the afternoon for Bad Alexandersbad, a charming spa town known for its healing mineral springs. Here I take a short break to relax in the soothing springs and recharge my batteries. The picturesque surroundings also offer the opportunity for leisurely walks and moments of inner peace.

For the next part of my adventure, my girlfriend and I rent e-mountain bikes from Fichtelrad. With these electrically assisted companions, we make our way to Arnsteinfelsen, an imposing vantage point that offers us a breathtaking view of the surrounding landscape. The sunset bathes the scenery in a magical light and we take our time to admire this impressive natural spectacle.

I end the days at the Golf Hotel Fahrenbach, an economical golf hotel in the middle of nature. Here I not only have the opportunity to stay in comfortable rooms, but also to take golf lessons and explore the challenging 18-hole golf course. The interplay of sport, nature and relaxation is simply perfect and makes me forget everyday life completely.
